Jordan Alexander joined New Jersey Youth Soccer as a coach in the fall of 2017 after an illustrious 18-year playing career in New Jersey EDP soccer and 4 years of high school soccer at Seton Hall Prep. He holds licenses under NJYS and USSF.
Over the past 7 years, Jordan has coached a wide range of age groups from 4 to 18 years old, including 6 EDP teams and 1 MCYS team. He currently serves as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Mount St. Dominic Academy.
Jordan is known for his two core coaching philosophies: “Small Victories” and being a “player-coach.” His “player-coach” approach leverages his extensive playing experience to connect with and understand his players on a personal level, enhancing his ability to teach and guide them effectively. The “Small Victories” philosophy emphasizes maximizing success on the soccer field while minimizing failure by correcting mistakes quickly and focusing on replicating successful actions.
With his rich background in both playing and coaching, Jordan brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the West Essex FC coaching staff, committed to developing players who excel both on and off the field.
